Breakfast at the Diner
Every weekend my husband and I go out to a diner for breakfast.
It started as a tradition when we were dating, it got lost when we had small
children and came back when our children were teenagers.
We talk about our weeks, we talk about our children, and we
talk about our relationship and our dreams.
Today we talked about our empty nest and how hard it is to
have our boys living in two different cities. As I look over to the counter and see two young people. I realize how far we’ve come from those first dates.
The journey has had lots of bumps in the road and a lot of beautiful peaks to look out from. It will be fun to see where the next turns in the road will take us.
